display and headed for the door.  A lot of people knew Bart, and he had been talking about the rod all day.  Needless to say, as he went out the door, a number of people followed.  I could not leave the table and was quite curious.   He came in after a long while.  Soaking wet, he was still wearing his gentle smile.  I was really worried that he was going to be himself and politely tell me \" its nice\" and set it down.  He smiled bigger and with a loud voice told me that he loved it.  \"I want one!\"  \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv data-offset-key=\"5jr9p-0-0\" class=\"_1mf Lombardo\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, but yours will have your name on it.  Also you will notice a couple swirl thread wraps to nod to the old days of the WonderRod and other old Glass Rods of yesterday.  Bart and I thought that was a nice touch.   You will also note that this rod label says 7-8 weight.  That also is a nod to the old days when rods were usually read and labeled as a \"this or that\" fly line.  Bart and I talked a lot about lines.  I designed the rod initially as a 7, but after many iterations, we got the taper right, but I like it with a straight 8 weight grain line.
