Shown here is an ADK Saltwater seat with 1.5\" fighting butt with barrel engraving and butt engraving. Beside this is a western grip with an ADK 43t freshwater seat, Spalted maple Wood insert, Cross engraving on the wood and mayfly engraving on the cap.

The Adirondack blank was named after the emerald green blank that is used in this series. The blank is made of 43 million modulus graphite. This blank is known for its extremely smooth casting ability and strong fish fighting power. The swelled butt section taper allows for extra resistance when the blank is forced into a more aggressive arc. The blanks are only available in an emerald green color and are only available in 2 or 4 piece. The 4 piece blank is stiffer than the 2 piece and it is available in a variety of specifications that can be reviewed on the link below.
I designed the Adirondack blank for the trout fly fisherman looking for the smooth, traditional casting action in a fly rod. Nearly all field testing has been done on the banks of the West Canada Creek in my home town. The two most popular blanks sold in this series are 9ft 5 weight 4 piece and the 9ft 8 weight 4 piece. I recommend the 9ft 8 weight 4 piece and the 9ft 9 weight 4 piece for light saltwater use. I also recommend titanium carbide guides for these blanks.
