JP ROSS Fly Rods Repair Policy vs. Warranty

We will do what we can so you don't have to buy another rod at retail price.  A broken rod for a customer is not the end of the world and it is also a chance for us to take care of the customer.  Although we have a policy, every repair has exceptions and we obvously do what we can for long time members of the JP Ross fellowship.

Definition: Unconditional Lifetime Warranty; means that a company will ask no questions and will replace a product for its entire life. This does not imply that there will not be a fee for such service nor does it state that the lifetime of the rod is never ending.

Definition: Limited Warranty; is a warranty that has limitations, such as life of the product, incidentals, or specific period.

Definition: Repair Policy; Is a stated policy of the guidelines that a company will follow for its customers best interests.

You will not be alone.   JP ROSS Fly Rods will always do something for you. Because we are a small company and every rod we make is custom crafted, it is hard for us to have a stated warranty. It is very time consuming for us to repair a broken rod since so much of what we do is custom.

At JP Ross Rods, we will clearly state that we will stand up for our customer and our product. This means that at no time will we tell our customer that they have to buy another fly rod at retail price and there is noting we can do for them. We can do something for them, and we will. We will always do one of the following, offer a new one at a discount, offer a credit for the broken one to be applied to a new purchase, repair the old rod for a fee, or in some cases, repair or replace the rod at our discretion at no charge. Below you will find warranty and repair policy's for other upstanding fly rod companies in the market that like us, build their rods in the United States. Please review their policies as well for further understanding of what is usual and customary.  Below was updated in late 2008.
