After about 14 years of working on fly rods, you begin to find other things that carry the same passion and excitement.  Hand Made boats are one of those things.

Welcome to Blue Line Boats.  In the next year you will see a transformation of this site into a collage of information on Boat Builders and hand made boats. 

Information on these boats will be posted weekly on the Boat House Blog.

Take for example the information listed below on Steve Kaulbeck.  Steve and I are friends and I think he is a great guy and a fantastic boat builder.  Information like this will be available for you to enjoy.

Adirondack Guide Boat Video.

My Buddy George said: "JP how the hell can Martha Stewart and Jp Ross be on the same web site."  and a few other funny remarks.. but the truth is, this video is not about Martha Stewart it is about Steve Kaulback.  Steve used to come down to my shop once and a while, and truth be told my family and I own 2 of his boats.  The 12 footer and also the standard 15 foot kevlar boat.  

Steve is a good friend and also I consider him one of the best boat builders on the planet.   It takes a whole lot of something to actually make A BOAT...  But Steve and his company make duplicates of these beautiful Adirondack Guide Boats time and Time Again.  As you will hear in this video and on his web site.  The Adirondack Guide Boat was the pick up truck of the Adirondacks back in the turn of the century.
